Claims Process Overview
In our experience, most homeowner’s insurance companies cover the cost of biohazard remediation involving suicide, homicide, and unattended deaths that occur at the insured property. If you have insurance and would like to file a claim for any of our services, BioteamLV will help you manage and navigate the entire insurance claims process:
Some insurance companies require prior approval before we start the decontamination process. If this is the case, a Senior Technician from BioteamLV will go to your property to assess the impact. We will implement measures to slow down the decomposition process and assist with killing bacteria and odor. We can also assist in retrieving vital documents or other items from inside of the insured property when necessary.
Biohazard Cleanup & Service Timeline
Due to the nature of some of our services, you may be unable to stay in your home overnight or for multiple days. In these instances, BioteamLV will provide you with a hotel for the duration of our biohazard work, at no cost to you. As each situation is different, we cannot guarantee a timeline from start to finish. Most clean-up work can be finished within a few days, but the insurance claim can stretch out over weeks. No matter how long it takes, we will be by your side every step of the way.

Traumatic events are already difficult enough for everyone involved without having to add the burden of cleaning and dealing with insurance.
